I was disappointed they no longer had it but the food didn't … More disappoint. They're a little heavy on the salt as a seasoning but otherwise the food was very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. Lower than the prices of chain restaurants and the food is much better. I look forward to going back.

Great food! Fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Hush puppies, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, potato salad - all yum. Burnt ends sandwich top notch. Best bbq sauce around. Will absolutely stop again next time through!

Great food! Service a little slow, (staffing issues waitress said). Order wasn't right for a couple of us. But great chicken sandwich (after the onions and tomatoes were scraped off..that were requested not to be there)!

I absolutely loved this place! I was passing through from New York and was the first time ever having southern barbecue. They gave me more than I could finish, very generous. I must say coming from Texas it was on point. The brisket sandwich was unbelievably awesome. The fries at first glance was a ? But once I had one it was cooked perfectly with the right amount of salt. I will definitely drive here again … More and eat. Curious to try what else they have. Also the waitresses tongue cooks were very professional, courteous and quick!!!!!!

In one plate I got the best fried flounder I ever had, the best collard greens I ever had, and the best hush puppies I ever had. Waitress was fantastic also.

Been meaning to do a review on this place. Stumbled upon this place 1 day for lunch and got bbq. Surprised me with how good the food was for a rather country place. Being a black man I had my feeler antenna up and by time I left I was at … More ease. They have a nice gift/souvenir shop fireworks and a very reasonable bong/tobacco shop. Prices on glass pipes are already reasonable they even offered 10% off I believe but prices ok before any discount. I have purchased 2 glass pipes in my many trips here and I love them and the price still. I live many miles away but the wife and I said we would do breakfast here 1 day so we did. As with the lunch and dinner breakfast was delicious and beautiful. The only take away from breakfast was the paper like real paper plate. It gets soggy and ur fork will go thru just like mine. Can't complain Abt the service at any point of this place so we go monthly at the least since we found it. Mad at myself for not taking pics of breakfast more so than lunch but will add photos on my next trip there

Stopped in for ice cream. Cones and cream were delicious. Employees were very nice. My sister introduced me to the owner. She was carrying an arm full of aprons to one of the food stations. You don't see many owners like that.

Good BBQ and a nice crew. Good selection of goods and a nice place to stop to or from the OBX. The place across the street has really gone down hill over the years.
